Enabling First Day Course Materials in your Canvas Course

First Day Course Materials by Barnes & Noble College allows students in participating courses to manage their status and gain direct access to their e-textbooks.

This inclusive access model provides students with digital course materials below market value.  This cost is applied directly to their term bill, allowing financial aid to be applied and saving students the time and energy of acquiring the materials themselves. Students have seamless access to their materials through their Rutgers Canvas sites once instructors have published their courses.  They also have an option to opt-out of the program via the First Day Course Materials link in Canvas.

Please note that a course copy with All Content selected or Select Content with Settings, will include copying the course menu settings so instructors will need to ensure that the link for First Day Course Materials is available in the course menu before publishing the course.

Scroll down to the bottom of your course menu and click Settings.
