Create mashup item - SlideShare Presentation
The order of search results are determined by SlideShare. SlideShare offers presentations under different license types.
1. Click on the section of your course where you would like to add a mashup item.
2. Hover your mouse over Build Content, and select SlideShare Presentation in the drop down menu.
3. Search for a SlideShare Presentation.
3.1. Select how you would like to use the keywords in the search.
3.2. Enter keywords for your search.
3.3. Click on Go.
4. Once you have found the presentation you would like to use, press the Select button under the presentation.
5. Fill out mashup item information.
5.1. Enter or modify the name of the SlideShare Presentation.
5.2. Provide a description for the presentation.
6. OPTIONAL: Select your Mashup Options.
6.1. Select whether you would like your image to appear as a Thumbnail, Text Link with Player, Embedded presentation on the page.
Thumbnail will show as full size when View Link is clicked. Embed Presentation will show the presentation player directly in the page.
6.2. If you would like the URL of the SlideShare Presentation to appear next to your presentation, click on the button next to Yes for "Show SlideShare URL."
6.3. If you would like the information that SlideShare provides about the image (i.e. User, Date Added, Tags, etc.) to appear on the page, click on the button next to Yes for "Show SlideShare Information."
7. OPTIONAL: Click on "Browse My Computer " to upload any additional files.
8. OPTIONAL: In the Standard Options section, you may limit availability for when your students may access the SlideShare Presentation.
8.1. Click the box next to Display After and enter the date and time that the Mashup Item will be available to students.
8.2. Click the box next to Display Until and enter the date and time after which the Mashup Item will no longer be available to students.
9. Click Submit at the top or bottom right of the page.
