Create mashup item - Flickr
Embed Flickr content directly in a course. The content is streamed from Flickr and is not stored within the Course.
1. Click on the section of your course where you would like to add a mashup item.
2. Hover your mouse over Build Content, and select Flickr Photo in the drop down menu.
3. Search for a Flickr Photo.
3.1. Select how you would like to use the keywords in the search.
3.2. Enter keywords for your search.
3.3. Click on Go.
4. Once you have found the picture you would like to use, press the Select button under the image.
5. Fill out Flickr content information.
5.1. Enter a Name for the image.
5.2. Provide a description for the image.
6. OPTIONAL: Select your Mashup Options.
6.1. Select whether you would like your image to appear as a Thumbnail or an Embedded photo on the page.
Thumbnail will show as full size when View Link is clicked. Embed Photo will show the photo directly in the page.
6.2. Click on the drop down menu next to Size to select the dimensions you would like your photo to have.
6.3. If you would like the URL of the flickr photo to appear next to your image, click on the button next to Yes for "Show Flickr URL."
6.4. If you would like the information that Flickr provides about the image (i.e. User, Added, Tags, etc.) to appear on the page, click on the button next to Yes for "Show Flickr Information."
7. OPTIONAL: Click on "Browse My Computer " to upload any additional files.
8. OPTIONAL: In the Standard Options section, you may limit availability for when your students may access the Flickr image.
8.1. Click the box next to Display After and enter the date and time that the Mashup Item will be available to students.
8.2. Click the box next to Display Until and enter the date and time after which the Mashup Item will no longer be available to students.
9. Click Submit at the top or bottom right of the page.
